満天の星。
２つの月は西の地平線に傾き、
丘を登りながら、大好きな星の輝きを見上げる。
私は、時おり訪れる、丘の上に立つ樹に近づいた。
私はこの丘が好きだ。星々が見渡せるこの丘が。
風で微かに揺れる樹の葉の音を聴くのも好きだ。
街の外れにある樹。
樹というには少し変わっている。
遠目には普通の樹であるが、近づくとその違いに気が付く。
まずてっぺんからずれたところにあるベージュ色のものが目に入る。
それから石膏か発砲スチロールで出来たものの様に緑色のものが覆いかぶさっている。
間近で見ると それは細かい葉が密集しすぎている為そう見えることが解る。
そして幹は葉に隠れて見えない。
樹は人の未来を見せるという。
でもその未来はきまぐれ。
いつの未来を見せるか判らない・・・。
思い出を見せるときもある。
人によって何を見るか判らない。
「中は暗いんだよ最初は。
それからねー、大きな目が出てきて
私はね海を見たの、大きな海原だった。
あれが海というものなのね、きっと。」
昔会った女はいつか海に行くことを夢見ている。
「中に人がいるんだぜ。
話しかけても何も答えないけどな。
頭上に片目が開いて・・・
俺は串刺しの女を見たぜ、半身しか無いんだ。」
旅の途中でこの街に寄ったという男が無映樹に入ってみたという。
「私はね、おじいちゃんが話しかけてきたの。
小さいときの思い出しかないのにね。
”おまえが思った様にやりなさい”って。
昔もそんなこと言われてたのかな。
でも今はそれが心に残っちゃって・・・。」
幼なじみは本当に話しかけられているみたいだったと嬉しそうに話した。
今、いつかは入ろうと思っていた樹の前にいる。
明日この街を離れる前に、入ろうと決めた。
樹の３ｍ程前に立つ。
葉は地面すれすれまで覆っている。
と、立ったすぐ前の葉に穴が開き始めた。
ここから入るのか。
中は真っ暗だ。
しばらくすると頭上から光が射した。次第に明るさが増してくる。
目だ。大きな目。
片目だ。瞳は緑だ。
ふと水平に目を戻す。
そこには幹があった。
幹に人が埋まっている。寝ているのか身動きひとつしない。
透き通る様な白い肌が薄っすらと光っている様に見える。
何か微かに唸るような音がしてきた。
周りを見回すと、緑色のグラデーション模様になっている葉の裏側が突然真っ暗になった。
目が慣れてくると、それは真っ暗ではなかった。
小さな光が無数にある。
星空だ。
でもそれは、見慣れた星空ではない。
星の光が強く眩しいくらいなのだ。
数も多すぎる。
下の方に目を移すと、そこには青い圧倒的な光があった。
どこかの惑星の青？
ここは宇宙なのか。
生まれ育った街は、この星で一番大きな大陸の中央辺りに位置する。
まずは海に出てみよう。
そしていつかこの星を出るのだ。

A woman who met a long time ago, dreamed of going to the sea one day.

now, I am in front of the tree I thought was going to enter someday.
I decided to enter here before I left this tomorrow.
I stand about 3 m before the tree.
Leaves cover the ground.
And the hole began to open in the leaf just before standing.

The inside is darkness.
After a while light shone from above.
The brightness gradually increases.
Eye. Great eye.
It’s one eye. That pupil is green.
Suddenly I turn my eyes from the top to the front.There was a tree trunk there.
The woman is buried in the tree trunk. She does not move as if sleeping.
It looks like her transparent white skin shines a bit.
I heard a slight trembling sound.
Looking around, the back side of the leaves, which is a green gradation pattern, suddenly became dark.
As eyes got used to it, it was not dark.
There are countless small lights.
It is a starry sky.
But it is not familiar starry sky.The light of the star is strong and dazzling.There are too many.
I moved my eyes downward, there was a blue overwhelming light.
Planet’s blue of somewhere?
Is this the universe?
The town where I was born and raised is located around the center of the largest continent of this star.
First, let’s go out to the sea.
And someday I will leave this star.
